About the Author
Beverly C. Prince
As surgeon, born in the Bronx, she is part of the wave of southerners who benefited from the relative freedoms of the North. She used that freedom to gain knowledge from other cultures and has come to see that Africans have been part of the world much longer than history records. Prince believes explorers discovered the artifacts belonging to the older but more advanced civilization and profited, claiming that knowledge we have today. She believes a deeper understanding is clearly revealed when the knowledge is shared with the people who created the cultures.

Unlock the Hidden Mysteries of Ancient Wisdom
The story is about Zephaniah, a man named after a biblical author who proudly proclaims himself a Cushite in the Old Testament. The author uses italicized words from the Bible, so the reader is made aware of the racial identity of the biblical characters who wrote them. As Zepha travels each town takes on the characteristics of one of the ten Sefirot. We can see how the levels affect what he will directly or indirectly experience, as we become part of the invisible hand that guides him toward self-awareness.
The towns are separated by 22 paths, weaving a road toward each Sefirot. These paths are named and numbered for the letters of the Hebrew Alphabet in an ancient Cabalistic system attributed to Abraham, the father of three religions and author of the Sefer Yetzirah. In traveling these underground formations we acquire the knowledge of good and evil, as we learn that one character’s good may be unfortunate for another. Conversations reveal inner complex realities only the reader is aware of. By getting inside each character, we gain insights into the spiritual and mystical understanding attributed to the Cabala.
The revelation of the African presence may bring a deeper enjoyment for those interested in astrology which was first described as a way to remember navigation and agriculture. For some, the numbered paths will elevate numerology when they see its connection to the Gematria.
Tarot readers will find solace in the borrowed wisdom from these ancient people who first wrote that the world was created when a breath formed a word.
Reviews
The Cabala of the Cushite, Zephaniah by Beverly C. Prince, which had the potential to be engrossing and immersive, never got off the ground for me. The fact that this book is so good, in my opinion, is unfortunate because it prevents you from taking the time to stop and realize how much effort and talent went into creating this fascinating world. Additionally, despite being an incredible accomplishment on most levels, the delivery is occasionally hampered by the lack of a skilled editor. The book is an interesting read if you can get past the grammatical and structural errors. 3 ½ stars from me.
This was a challenging one for me. It's a long, dense, complex story, and I had to be a 100% concentrated and present if I wanted to make any progress in it. When I did, it was very rewarding because the world and the plot set in it are very imaginative. I won't go into details about it here; you can read that in the description. Writing also had ups and downs for me. Some parts of the book flowed beautifully, with rich language and enjoyable rhythm; the others dragged a bit, and I had to power through. All in all, if you're up for a challenging read, this is that. Give it a try!
The book is a bit complex and requires a bit of focus to go through it. The imagination and the world drawn by the author are impressive and the plot is exceptional. The book has lots of concepts and rich details which are not known to the general population. The story progresses beautifully and keeps you hooked to it as it requires a lot of focus. If you are up for a challenging read then this book is for you. The book feels a bit lousy at times and has a few mistakes too.
The Cabala of the Cushite is an action adventure filled with fantasy and metaphysical elements. It is a complex story and may not be everyone's cup of tea; however, for me, it was very enjoyable to read. I liked how unique the story was, and for that, I recommend it to those who like to read something different.
